CRUSHED

Formed in Osasco - SP, 1994. Started in October 1994, and re-starting in 1999, Crushed "is born" in Osasco/SP/Brazil, doing a few shows in the Sao Paulo region, gaining some notoriety, mainly because of the heavy sound with strong personality. After a period of about two years of activity, the bassist leaves because of personal problems, and the band is forced to cease its activities to search for a new member and, facing the difficulties to find a new bassist, the band decides to start recording new material with two members: Gleicon, who was since then the responsible for recording vocal and guitar parts, recorded also the bass parts, and Rodrigo recording the drum parts. As the result of this, in 2003, the CD "Day After Day" is released, bringing four songs, confirming Crushed's tendency of composing songs with heaviness and a strong personality. In the same period, Marcos Jr. becomes the bassist of the band and Crushed, with renewed energy, starts the process of composing new songs, always searching for a heavy sound with the band's own identity, with influences of bands such as Rollins Band, Meshuggah, Helmet, and Corrosion of Conformity. At the moment, Crushed already has a respectable setlist (including some cover songs). The band, with a new CD and renewed setlist, is now reaching for an opportunity to spread the word about its work and, who knows, find a way to record a third CD with more resources, divulging then its work on the Brazilian and international music markets.
