Formed in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul - 2000. The Ankh emerged in 2000 in a conversation between. Douglas Engelke Pessi and Bruno, who studied in same college in the city of Porto Alegre. From this partnership, the idea of ​​a band of Hard Rock / Heavy Metal, which until then had only two members. Igor Stelmach finally entered the band slowly, in some presentations in which they were invited to play. From there, began to compose their own music. The band without a drummer until mid-2002, when the music teacher at the school where they studied Dudu Polidori said that, over time, became a friend of the band. Thereafter, they are a good time looking for a vocalist to fit the band's musical style. Until early in 2003, met Giovane Rodriguéz who identified himself with the work and agreed to join the band. With the band formed they began to compose new songs, trying to turn his work to Heavy Metal, with great influences from bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Savatage, among others, but always keeping his own style. In July 2004, with four songs written, the band began recording a demo CD, with the aim of presenting the band as well as his compositions. This work, entitled Rest In Peace, was completed in march 2005 and released in August of that year. In August, Dudu, for personal reasons, he moved to Macedonia, leaving thus the wave of drummer Ankh blank. By September, Camilo Pedrollo took the sticks, resuming the rhythm of the band, who continued making new songs. In April 2006, Camilo, also for personal reasons, left the band. The Ankh was without a drummer until July 2006 when Erick Lisbon, former band member Spartacus, took the sticks, continuing the process of composition. In February 2007, Giovane leaves the band due to internal differences. In May, after several tests, the Ankh completed his training with Luciano Schneider assuming the position of vocalist. In march 2008 due to disagreements related to matters of the band, Eric left the Ankh, was replaced by former drummer, Dudu. The band is now in the initial process of recording the EP Natural Killer.
