Formed in Porto Alegre - RS. "With extreme emphasis on what sounds the best in the 90s alternative scene in North America and English post-punk of the 80s, highlighting simple and distorted guitars, bass and drums biting together with a languid and melancholic vocals here comes a pleasant surprise. Badhoneys is the name of this power trio formed in the South of Brazil in July last year by Giana Cognato (guitars, vocals), Stefano Fell (drums) and Rodrigo Souto (bass). In this first work entitled "Restart to Fail Again" the intimate atmosphere prevails in lyrics about the universal themes of pain, as Giana describes in an interview on radio microfonia (www.radiomicrofonia.com.br). The influences are borne by brilliant names like PJ Harvey, Nirvana, Joy Division, New Order, Pixies and Dinosaur Jr and the sound always swings between beauty and ruggedness steeped in bitter anger and distress with a magnificent result in five energetic songs that revive the masterful and unpretentious, a visceral elation of the soul and essence of 90s alternative rock. "Vulnerable," "Runaway," "Lastday", "B Sad" and "Pisces Eyes" are real gems, pure delight and binding to the ears and hearts. Genius and overwhelming debut!" - adapted by the review of Al Shenkel, music bloguer in Brazil... ..In live shows, the band search for the climax with melody, sadness, and noise and the spirit realest to something bigger, unreachable and always wanted. As soon as the first record was release, Badhoneys achieve a good acceptance of independent radios, like Levi and Microfonia (in this last one, the band still on the top ten after 4 months with the song Runaway).
