Formed in Petrópolis - RJ - 2000. The formation of B5 comes from childhood, the brothers Eduardo Guimarães (guitar, vocals), Bernardo Guimaraes (drums) and Lucas Leite (guitars), range from 15 to 18 years, began studying music at age 4 and were already playing together, when six will have felt the need for new musicians to the class. In 2000 at the suggestion of a guitar teacher knew Leo Lotti (vocals, bass), who in turn invited his friend Luis Felipe Bade (guitar). The band was formed, initially playing covers of rock bands. With the training set, the band begins to make a lot of gigs at parties and events in Petropolis, a city where live bands influenced by the 70s until today. The agricultural exposition was the push they needed, B5 appeared in five editions, and in the last three on the main stage. The exhibition was a great showcase because Petropolis has many rock bands but few places to play. "There are alternative events usually held at someone's house," said Edu. In 2002, sign record deal with Sony Music and released their first CD, self titled, named "B5", where the band comes to teen topics such as school, dating, sex, football and video games. From there the work takes national prominence and B5 becomes a revelation of pop rock bands in Brazil. "On this album we participate in the production. CD is a more authorial, with our seven compositions, while at first there were only two," said Leo. According to the work of the quintet is in the range of 16 years. Despite her young age, the boys will get classic rock influences in the Seventies, and current elements, injecting weight on guitars and demonstrating a high dose of mature sound. In 2005 the group released their second CD, titled "New". The song "One More Time" is present on the soundtrack from the novel "Workout" on the album Workout National 2005. In 2005, the band opened two international shows, Simple Plan and Hanson. The band came to an end in early 2009, though the band has been with the 3rd cd almost done, the contracts that were to close they ended up not being closed and after this episode, was there a gradual shift away, so the members were plotting different ways, resulting in separation of the group. Leonardo Lotti currently pursuing law at Catholic University of Petropolis and plays in local band called Sunset Rock. Eduardo Guimaraes married. And Luis Felipe continues to work as a musician on recordings and accompanying singer Julie on her tour. In addition, he also works in music production, making recordings and mixes.
