Formed in Rio de Janeiro. Alice had its beginning in 2003, in Santa Cruz, West Zone of Rio, as a typical example of a band with everything to go wrong. Starting with the name. Formed initially by friends Cicero Lins (guitar, vocals), PV (Guitar), Rodrigo Abud (bass) and Higor (drums), who shared an average of 16 years and fondness for groups like Nirvana, Silverchair, Offspring and the like, the band spent a year given the bad name of Mary Jane and playing songs in rough sidewalks grunge and punk. After recording a demo I record this first phase, the story begins to change. With the first recorded compositions, the group realizes that the name Mary Jane would not serve to represent the new musical direction you want, and the search for a simple name, decided to change it to Alice. It is also then that the band turns his attention to groups like the Pixies, Radiohead and Interpol (something easy to see through the service of unsubtle Obstacle 1 song in The End, part of the first demo), strong influences on the maturation of newly named Alice. The extent to which the teenage musicians drew to a close, the grunge phase of the Mary Jane Demo and I was definitely put aside. And that's how the band came to deAnteluz launch in 2005, full of good times, both in music, and lyrics. Cicero, responsible for the compositions, goes on to cite the names of poets Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Pablo Neruda, and composers like Chico Buarque and Moska (the letter A and another was admittedly paraphrased in The Empty House, the verses "I say, you listen / I shut up, you blame me / sorry, sorry ... ") among his influences." In early 2007, after two small changes in training (first adding another guitarist, Gilson Abud, and replacement drummer Higor by Paul Marino), Alice launches Noise, who can be considered final and his first record - for not? - "Adult". Recorded at Stúdio Limongi, in Rio de Janeiro, between February and May this year, noise is proof of how a band can reach maturity over time. Already in the first 8:00 minutes, the opening song of the new work, one realizes that finally found its way Alice, his face - an impression confirmed during the just over thirty minutes of the album, say, in passing.
