Formed in Rio Grande do Sul. Finally, I can see New Horizons. I started playing the guitar when I was 10. I started studying classical music at the age of 13, but didn't take it too seriously then. At that time, I had the idea that you have to play classical guitar in order to play electric guitar. Actually, it helped me a lot to understand music, tough I didn't learn anything about harmony or scales, I just played the music in the sheets. When I was about 18 years old I finally bought my first (real) electric guitar, and began studying day and night. My two brothers were already accomplished band musicians in our small town, and I had to work hard to get near their level of playing. At the age of 20 I was invited to join a real rock band, named T-Rox. All the musicians in that band were 10 years older than me, with lots of experience playing live or in studio situation, so again I had to work really hard to be in the band. But it payed off. We released our first album in 2003, named "Mais uma de Rádio", but the label we were signed in went bankrupt (or something like that...), so the album never reached the kind of audience we were looking for. I left the band to do my own stuff. I was already working with my friend and awesome guitar player Juliano Brito in some parallel projects, when we got the idea to release an instrumental album. We called Giovani Capeletti (another friend an great guitar player) and started to work together as a guitar trio named Trio Âmbar. In 2005 we released "Mosaico", with 10 tracks of pure acoustic guitar music. I really like the music we played together. .... So, after that, I kept playing and teaching guitar classes in my home town, and started to work on my own music. My new album, called “New Horizons” is certainly the toughest and coolest thing I have ever done: I was free to do all the composing, arrangements and production in the album, and that was a real challenge for me. From the basic drum programming that I gave as a guide for João to create his own stuff (my brother and drum player) to the crazy loop effects and intricated orchestral arrangements, everything was new to me. I've never learned so much in such short time. You can check the final result in my newest release, I really hope you enjoy it!! I'll be playing at a big concert in Buenos Aires, called Guitar Experience.
