Formed in Campinas, São Paulo - 1993. Coelho (b/v), Rafael (d), João Augusto (g), Marzabal (g). We can begin to tell the story of the band Armpyt (banda de Campinas, São Paulo state) from the year 1993, when in fact only two years after the paths came to cross, and wills and ideas came about. John Augusto Charnet and Marcelo Marquiori Marzabal, both members of the current formation of Armpit and friends also, in 8th grade gym, playing covers of various bands such as Bon Jovi, Viper, Aerosmith, among others, with a single goal. .. The joy of playing guitar! Time passed and the idea of ​​actually performing a serious project and concrete began to knock on the door of John and Marcelo. On the other side were Fabio and Rafael Duarte Coelho da Conceição, bassist and drummer respectively of the future formation of Armpit. Cole had his great partner Raphael "Ogre," and also shared the same dreams and ideas. Had from the beginning, the goal learn to compose and write to one day form a band that had already been named by accident, "Zarko." A curiosity, double John and Marcelo Coelho and Ogre and were great friends and rivals in the music. Let your pride aside, a year later, in 1994, decided to get together and form a band that had the following training: John (Guitar base), Richard (guitar solo), Coelho (bass), and a colleague in common (Drummer .) The band (which had no name), took a test! A few years passed and things had really changed. The duo John and Marcelo, were still together and playing better. Have Rabbit and Ogre, had separated. The opportunity to play at an event appeared to John and Marcelo, who of course jumped with all his strength. Quickly completed the band that was the Armpit with two girls, Amarilis on bass, and Karina on drums. The invitation to play in Armpit, Coelho was made for a few weeks before the event, when both Amarilis, Karina about their share vetoed by their parents. The quartet was completed with the addition of drummer Rodrigo, friend of John The crowd from friends and family to get it right, it was great but of course always some setbacks occurred. The drummer Rodrigo, had never played Rock in life because all life had played in the church he attended. It cost only adapt to the repertoire of covers (Ozzy, Green Day, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc ...) that the band had chosen. The event took place at the school where John and Marcelo studied. All assembled, from the small stage, even the PA's not working. The nervousness was enormous, a few sips of beer and brandy to try to alleviate the fear of going on stage and face the audience that was not small. The show then started so well. Marcelo then singer, gave voice. After a few songs, there were only close friends of the band Armpit, among them Rafael Duarte future drummer. Blow but well surpassed by the band decided to continue with the show until the end, if not for another detail. The show was being held in a college of nuns, and just one of them ran and asked him to stop the Armpit with "that deafening sound." With the cooler head, the feet and an urge to go through all the obstacles that they would cross the path of Armpit, one month later, the current lineup was completed with the arrival of drummer "Rafinha" cousin Marzabal, that began to take their first blows in the battery. The first trial took place in December 1995 at the home of Drummer Rafinha without the participation of John who was on vacation in the USA. Meeting done, parameters and objectives outlined in relation to the path being followed, the first steps to make the dream a reality Armpit, has been given in this paper where he also was born the first song the band ... "Cross Roads". With the return of John, the tests succeeded all weekend and then was born the band's second song, the ballad "Dreams of Eternity." The band also always looked with great care and attention to the messages contained in the lyrics of their songs, always direct and often crude, addressed and address the daily life of a human being, a focus on Brazil where your fears, sorrows, disappointments, and powerlessness in the face of certain facts, and also cover the political, economic and religious. A few months afternoon, a meeting was held (as always was the custom among the band members Armpit) for a change in the name of the band that was eventually changed to Armpit Armpyt, This change aimed to make it visually stronger. Making this decision the next step was to create the logo that had the largest contributor, a large and talented friend of the band, Stefan Arthur. The band's second performance was held in a bar of Campinas (city of the band), the Urban Tribe at the time, very well attended. With more than two bands in town (Haggar and CrossFire), the Armpyt opened the night and tearing deafening cheers from the audience. The first demo, entitled "The Last Survivor," was released in July 1996 with three new songs composed by Armpyt ("Cross Roads", "Dreams of Eternity," The Last Suvivor "). After a few shows with a good public and others with a very small audience, the band found little to his followers. The stability had settled in the band. Returning to the studio for the second time, Armpyt, a bit more mature, re-recorded songs from the first demo and one of them, "Dreams of Eternity" in acoustic version. Completing this demo also titled "The Last Survivor," the more Armpyt recorded two new songs ("Calling for Death" and "Lost"). With a year of hard work, the band had already recorded and respected name in the competitive music scene of Campinas. Invitations to open shows for nationally renowned bands (Krisiun, Dorsal Atlantica, and Virgins), and is followed Armpyt with lots of personality and energy almost burst into your presentations. The second demo, entitled 0h: 00 (zero hour), was launched in 1998 with four new songs very heavy and extreme grip. Increasingly heavy, Armpyt strode for a possible CD recording for personal reasons when the band broke up. Marzabal moved to Curitiba to study. Coelho received and accepted an invitation to play in a band of HardCore conceituadíssimo "Lethal Charge." Months later Rafinha and John were members of that band. At the same time, still playing in Lethal Charge, Coelho, John, Rafinha, Ogre and formed another band, Forceps. Four trials were sufficient for this band created four great and loud music. The Forceps came to make a presentation at the Bar Tribe (Campinas), before ending a great show, a great presentation. After 8 months, Rafinha, Coelho, John and Marzabal, reflected and heard several requests from friends and fans for the band to return. They returned with all energy and two months after taking advantage Forceps (where the base was Armpyt), recorded two great songs and heavy, but now, composed in Portuguese.
