BLACK DRAWING CHALKS

Formed in Goiânia – GO, 2005. Black Drawing Chalks Stoner Rock is a quartet of Goiânia.

The idea to form the band appeared on the faculty of Graphic Design. Victor Castro Rocha eDouglas part of the studio without Bicycle Brake, and decided chamarDenis Castro, brother of Douglas and architecture student, to found the Black Drawing Chalks. At the time, Victor shared the chords and vocals with Marco Bauer. In early 2007, Marco decided to leave the band and Renato Cunha is invited to join the quartet. The band's name, which means "black coals for drawing," comes from a German brand of material for design, constant influence in the lives of boys. In 2007, they released their first album "Big Deal" by Monstro Discos label. In 2009, with more maturity released their second album "Life Is A Big Holiday For Us." With frequent media exposure, long tours and participation in major festivals in Brazil, the group won three nominations VMB 2009, in the categories Bet MTV, Alternative Rock and Music Video of the year with the music video "My Favorite Way" made in a partnership of collective Bike Without Brake Nitrocorpz with the studio, responsible for several of MTV vignettes. In 2010 they released a single named after the title as banda. Also in 2010, attended the first day of the SWU Festival, the largest music and art festival of the year which had the platform to sustainability and care for the environment. The banda de Goiânia was responsible for opening the Air stage, where they played Los Hermanos, Infectious Grooves and Rage Against the Machine. Black Drawing Chalks already toured alongside names like The Datsuns, Motörhead and Eagles Of Death Metal.
