Formed in São Paulo - SP, 1991. The Calibre 12 is a hardcore punk band from São Paulo - Brazil. Exploited, GBH, Varukers and Chaos UK are influences that more explicit for the quartet paulistano Calibre 12. Aleks Navau (vocals), Claudio Falcon (guitar), Ricardo Abdalla (bass) and Oscar (drums), are undoubtedly the face of the Calibre 12, the best training that the band already had these long 16 years. Already shared the stage with some of the most important bands on the international scene as The Exploited (Scotland), Rasta Knast (Germany), Riistetyt (Finland), Gee Strings (Germany), among others, remaining today as the largest replacement legends Punk national and Dry Eye and Cholera. With a discography until generously participated in important collections such as "SP-PUNK Vol.1", the "Tribute to Poison Idea" Plastic Bomb launch in Germany, the "Tribute to the Lambs" among others. The exclusive CD only came in 1999. "Casualties of Rot" went completely independently sold over 3000 copies and is almost impossible to find a copy of this classic. The second record came only in 2001, this time by Paulo Red Star Records label, owned by guitarists and bassists from bands Pesticides and Dry Eye, and Mark Jefferson. "Resist to the End" had great repercussion in Brazil and abroad. The Calibre 12 belongs to 53 HC seal miner, which has in its cast bands like DFC, Figure Sorry, Deceivers, Fast Food HC among others. And courage and innovation is what they have more than enough, just notice the covers that are played at concerts: Dead Kennedys, Exploited, Motorhead, Pantera and Space Zombies, to name a few. At the site, an unusual phrase, but it serves to define exactly what is the Calibre 12: Hardcore Punk São Paulo. The Calibre 12 was always considered the Brazilian Exploited, and "Underground" all more or less follows the same path of them, entering a phase more hardcore / crossover, like the Exploited made albums like "Death Before Dishonour" and the EP " Jesus Is Dead. " There are 21 audio tracks and a multimedia track, all with an aesthetic dirty (in a good way, of course), referring to the proposal hardcore in its most aggressive. The letters are short and thick, leaving the more direct speech à la Of Mice Basement. Compositions with titles like "Boss From Hell", "Emo Trash" and "Zodiac Of Hate" give the keynote of thing, from there you already realize that the Calibre 12 2006 version only comes even buckshot. "Underground" also features appearances by Baby (former Mukeka Di Rato), Marcão (Pesticides) and Henrike and Gordo (Blind Pig) on backing vocals. This new phase of Calibre has everything to add new fans, especially fans of punk music in the raw state, because that is exactly what "Underground" by exudes every pore.
