Genre(s): Progressive / Speed / Heavy Metal
Formed in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro - 2003. The band One Age and Progressive Speed Metal melts the mood and creativity, creating an enveloping atmosphere, since with the vocal Leandro Montero, bassist Bruno Coe, guitarist and drummer Victor Hora Alessandro Carvalho. Formed in 2003, the band has released a demo-cd The Illusionist, in 2004, featuring Alvin Luis on keyboards. Heavy traditional lovers will love it, fans of progressive sympathize, and who like both genders will freak out and smash the computer's speakers. On May 2003, Alessandro Carvalho bet on a musical project, which is a dream since the beginning of his artistic career. His aim was to make up a technical group, so that they could develop a serious, promising and original job. He was looking for different elements for the saturated Heavy Metal, in order to reconstruct its history. Bruno Coe, a great friend and partner in another band, and Victor Hora, a new friend and promising musician, joined the band. Then Sandro Syko was called to take on the vocals... Since then, they composed ideas which varied among Progressive Metal, Traditional Heavy Metal, Speed, Hard Rock, and Brazilian rhythms. Just letting their art flow naturally, little by little they formed what today is the characteristic of Age One: A Heavy Metal which means more than its simple classification... The themes of the compositions explore existential questions, subconscious, feelings and social analysis of the human being. They show subjective and critical visions, without imposing their opinion, but causing reflection of those who are hearing the songs. On February 2004, Sandro Syko leaved the band and after being tested lots of candidates, in May, Leandro Montéro joined the band as the new vocalist. So it began another promising period... Heading for a successful future, the band recorded the demo The Illusionist in July (2004) as the beginning of their street. Luiz Alvim participated playing the keyboards and the demo is available for downloading in the website. On April 2006, the band decided to make auditions to choose a new keyboard player and Heraldo Souza was outstanding. Joining the group, the new member kept on the interaction of the band and permitted the continuity of the band. By the middle of June (2006), the great friend and bass player Bruno Coe left the band due to personal grounds which impeded him to devote to the project as needed. He opted to leave it subtly and friendly, because there were shows already marked and we couldnt lack a bass player. Then, new auditions started and the chosen one was Davi Motta, who rapidly got our sense of humor and surely kept on the technique of the band, so that the group had a blast.
