Genre(s): Thrash / Heavy Metal
Formed
in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul - 1987. The Beginning ... It all began in 1986 when I enter Marivan Ugoski vocalist in the group "Weak-Metal". The group had Eduardo (bass), Chico (guitar), Tony (drums) and Marivan (Vocal). After several tests they decided to put a second guitar with Luciano Petrucci. Luciano made some tests, not adapting to the group dropped out. Then Chico left the group leaving their mill for Reinaldo. Then in January 1987 due to musical differences, it is time to leave the group Marivan. The Weak-Metal covers and performing his own music was only after these changes the group ended. The Atro ... With the end of Metal-Weak, Marivan begins to assemble his own band, and the first to be called is Luciano Petrucci. Later they joined the drummer Denton Renck. On 21/02/87, they performed the first test, which marks the founding of the group, baptized by the Marivan "Atro," which based on the word "Atrocity", only "Atro" means something dark, ugly, unlucky ... The first presentation of Atro was 25/09/87, abriando night concert at the bar and nightclub "Green Years." In 87, Atro has received several grants of fanzines from all over the country. The Atro made his second appearance this time in Rio Grande, in the cinema "Gloria" by participating in the "2nd Pact Rock" on 06/10/87. Even with the progress of the group, guitarist Luciano Petrucci began playing shows with bands and other relatively demonstrate total disregard for musical work of Atro. Therefore, it was replaced by Marcelo Soffioni. Then the drummer Denton Renck Atro also decides to leave. Before long, Mark Rattão Marivan calls to take the drumsticks of Atro. But this second training, which also featured Marcelo Soffioni on guitar, would not be final and not productive. The only novelty was that the Atro 1988 began to sing in English. The third formation ... The Atro was no drummer Marivan found when the drummer Ricardo Esteves, who brought along for the group guitarist Paul RR, which meant the departure of Marcelo Soffioni, the two guitarists because it definitely would not work. On 29/11/88, the light shines in the darkness of Atro and the group back in full force, with competent musicians, taking seriously the proposal of the musical group. The first show with this guy was training for 200 people, on 17/01/89, the Orangery at the beach in Pelotas. In this show, succeeded by several others, taking Atro as a headliner. The Atro also participated in some festivals like "Rock Circuit", sponsored by RBS TV, where 23 bands competed and Atro to classify among the 10 finalists. The first Demo-Tape ... On 20/10/90, the Atro first arrives in the studio and recorded their first official demo, 12 channels, with the title "Death For Those Who .." in the studio workshop in Porto Alegre. This demo had músivas 7, 6 and Atro made by a cover, they are: "For Those Who .. Death," "Cannibal Man", "Mystery," "Lies", "Atrocity," "The Two Faces of a Man "and" Troops Of Doom "(Sepultura Cover). The art of the demo was all done by Designer Edmar Macedo Torales. After this demo, the demo was released "Alive In Order Not To Die," which is a complement of the former. This demo was recorded live performances of some of Atro, between January and February 1992. There are 4 songs of their own Atro and two covers: "Lifesense", "Thrash World," "Trapped To The Past" and "New World Man" of Atro and "Inner Self" (Sepultura) and Enter Sandman (Metallica). The first record on vinyl ... In July 1992, the Atro performs its first show in Porto Alegre, along with the M-19. After this show, the band enters the studio's "Sound & Art" in Porto Alegre and writes the song "New World Man", which enter the LP-Compilation "Thrash, Heavy and Loud." This LP gathered the work of 10 Gaucho metal bands of the era, including Atro in the third track, so the first record on vinyl. The new phase of Atro ... After recording the track "New World Man" on the LP-Collection, drummer Ricardo Esteves decides to depart from the band citing health problems. In April 1993 comes in its place the drummer Rubens Hallal. The next month, also joins the band vocalist Marcelo Duran, getting Atro with the following formation: Marivan Ugoski (Low and B.Vocais), Paul RR (Guitars and B.VOcais) and the new Marcelo Duran (vocals) and Rubens Hallal (Drums and B.Vocais). In May 1993, the Atro into the studio to record "So Close To Me," the first work of this new configuration. The song "So Close To Me" ran Alpha on radio Fm (Pelotas), AG.FM Unão-dos Palmares (Alagoas), Ipanema Fm (Porto Alegre) among others. The recording of the song "So Close To Me" was sponsored by the radio operator AG.FM Alexandre Correa Thiago de Alagoas. In July 1993, comes the sad news of the death of the mother of Rubens Hallal, moving away from the band, who has also had problems with equipment. That same month, comes in its place to continue the work of the group beginner drummer Felipe Koetz, who has made his live debut with Atro on 05/08/93. Now the problems are with vocalist Marcelo Duran, who left the band. Various tests are made and the new vocalist chosen to take the stand is Edward Schein, known as "ice cream". The tests continue and Atro back to participate in a new compilation, this time on CD, the "Falange Rock II," with the track "Shine In The Night". That was in 1994 and soon after the family of Philip Koetz moved to Porto Alegre, Koetz forced to leave the group. The first official CD ... After that the Atro passes through a phase of "rest" until 1995, when the competition comes from the national level "Staner", who was then completing 21 years. Marivan then decides to enter the Atro, sending a tape K-7 with several old and new songs of the season. The result leaves and bands of 3220 participants from all over the country Atro won the first prize being a recording and pressing of 1000 CDs. As the band continued without a drummer, the solution was to call a "studio drummer" to record the album "Breaker", sponsored by CD "Staner." In April / May 1995, the Atro enters the studio "Sound & Art" in Porto Alegre for recording the first album. Now with the CD in hand and performed a few shows, the disc does not get the desired repercussion and the band begins to unravel: the first one out is the lead singer Edward Schein, in his place is called Rubens Hallal, drummer singer who decides to attack. Rare presentations with this lineup, new songs come without some major highlights and the "studio drummer" Luke realizes that Faro would not have to record another CD and soon left the band and he also almost with guitarist Paul RR So, back to Rubens Hallal the battery and who returns to the guitar is the first guitarist Luciano Atro Petrucci. The first Rock Soldiers ... With this training, Marivan back to the vocals in addition to continuing playing bass and the music is written in Portuguese "False Shepherds" in January 1998, which comes out in the first volume of the CD / Collection "Rock Soldier," devised by the Marivan, only that the band uses the name "Ugoski" out instead of Atro name. The second Rock Soldiers ... After that, the singer Rodrigo Matarredona joins Atro doing Marivan back to the post of just bass. The following year, now renamed Atro again gravama song "Demon's Child" which is part of the second volume of the CD / Collection "Rock Soldiers". More changes ... From there, things do not take a different tack. Even the singer Rodrigo is super competent, his style of voice was not matching the musical proposal of Atro to make a sound more aggressive and returning to the roots of 80 years. With this ideal, Marivan reassume the position of vocalist / bassist, but this time who left the band again is Luciano Petrucci, an unexpected loss for the band. Still, Marivan still playing with several guitarists to browse in 2000 guitarist Vagner Medina, who spent a year helping the band in the composition of songs, but ends up giving rise to the guitarist Alexandre Fernandes (Ex-M26). The Attro now ... Starting in 2001, the band adds another letter "T" to its name, according to a study Numerological. And so, in July 2001 Attro now writes the song "I Am Sweet Pain", returning to participate in the CD / Collection "Rock Soldiers" in its sixth edition. Since then, the Attro focuses on new compositions, several shows and also the reading of their old songs. The result of this training was launched in April 2003 the new CD "Making Up For The Wasted Time" (Recovering the Lost Time), who left the label Disccos UGK's own bassist Marivan Ugoski. This album features 10 new songs, four new recordings of songs from 80 years and more the cover of "The Revolt of the Gods," the group "Made In Brazil", and this song and also the song "Girl From Stop Crying" ( also rewritten by Attro) are in volumes 1 and 2 of the tribute to the "Made In Brazil", which has not yet been released by the group "Made In Brazil." After the CD release in November 2003 and the musicians Hallal Rubens Alexandre Fernandes left the band and are replaced by Renan Storck and Paul Mendes. The band is continuing with new material and it seems that will have a new song in Volume 11 of the compilation Rock Soldiers.
