Formed in São Paulo, São Paulo - 1996. Formed 15 years ago in Guaianazes "periphery of SP" in mid-1996 (in the middle because it is a way loko not know the exact date), with the union of five friends: Nene, Fabio Zoio, Fabiano, and Charlie is Potira rock. Formed a band with no name and with three guitarists, a vocalist and a drummer, a fucking racket, but the deal was already making noise that nobody could touch anything until a guitarist Fabio Zoio, tired of the noise and went Fabiano and swapped his guitar for bass.A thereafter began the FHA – A Fúria Do Hipopótamo Ameixa.Com time we can play the same music all together until the end, then started playing at parties with friends, bars, pubs, schools, festivals, ie anywhere. We were happy and wanted to record a demo tape that did not happen because Fabiano, for personal reasons left the band, in 1998.
The band was virtually stagnant, despite having spent two bassists, Evan and the neighbor who had a lot of goodwill, but they had to face the band. This phase lasted until the middle of 2001, when through friends, we know that the Marquis walked virtually the same steps that we have with another band, but had left and was looking for another. The band began rehearsing, an essay, another essay, another, until we mingled and from 2002, took firm and wrote new songs and we got back everywhere to let us show our music and even did a videoclip Radical Total is about to be tied on MTV (Central Program, Reef) and Rede Minas. In March 2004 we achieved our dream of releasing the CD titled flophouse in California independent label * Yay! Records and with this showing our message in song. In June, the song was aired on the program Capitalismo E Discriminação "A Vez do Brasil" on 89fm. At the beginning of August comes another guitarist, Bruno "Smyle Boy" thus giving more weight to the sound. In October 2004, the Marquis had to leave the band. Smyle Boy takes the bass and Jean for the second guitar. As for our style, we prefer not to self-owner, you know, sometimes hardcore, some punk-rock, sometimes two, other punk-rock and melodic hardcore, but certainly a mix of influences and feelings and actions that absorbed world that make up our style. FHA was second in the event sponsored by the radio 89fm 15 Minutos De Fama in December 2004, almost sharing the stage with Pennywise and Bad Religion. The scheme did not win, but at least resulted in a special program of Punk Rock and promoted as the radio played Radicalism Total, which has since played several times! In March 2005 it published a full page of material about the band in Commando Rock magazine highlighting the FHA as one of promises of hardcore country.
