Formed in Indaiatuba, São Paulo - 2001. Alien Groove was formed in 2001 by Rodrigo Ribeiro and Gerson Lima Filho, the proposal to develop instrumental compositions, mixing elements of different musical styles as salsa, rock, funk, jazz, bay, samba, among others. In 2004, upon receiving the invitation to participate in the festival's Modern Drummer magazine, the Alien Groove invited bassist Renato Monteiro to join the trio. With training complete, the power trio launched in 2005, their first demo, entitled Non-Sense, featuring four original compositions. In the same year, the trio participated in the festival magazine Drums, along with several big names in Brazilian music scene, starting, too, work with workshops in schools and music stores in the region of São Paulo. Today, the Alien Groove has the following training: Gerson Lima Filho (drums), formed by IP & T (Percussion Institute of Technology), studied with Giba Favery, Christiano Rocha and Ivan Busic. Vengeance has played with bands, Murdok, Jack 7, Radar 57, Decryss, among others. Currently part of the band Medley, particularly in Pal teaches Studio G, acting as a freelance and studio musician. It is sponsored by CAUAF by which launched a model with his signature sticks (Double Effect). Rodrigo Ribeiro (guitar), formed by IG & T (Institute of Guitar and Technology), Edu Ardanuy studied with Mozart Mello and Joe Moghrabi. Played with the bands Second Heaven, Lexojam, Jumping Jack, among others. Giving private lessons since 1997 and serves as a freelancer. Viktor De Lima (bass): self-taught on the instrument, studying bass at UNICAMP, and the lodge for about three years. Worked with Radioactive bands, Murdok, Side B, Rabb, Decryss, among others. Now works as a freelance and teaches particularly in G Pal Studio, where he works as an assistant coach and studio musician. Alien Groove released their first. CD, and currently works in its disclosure.
