Formed in . The project's name was inspired by an ancient city currently known as Tell-El-Amarna, ancient Akhetaten (Horizon of the Aten), built on a virgin site of the east bank of the Nile, in Upper Egypt. Amarna Sky is the name of the project being created by the writer of this blog, along with Aldo D'Isep, musician, producer and studio owner of the renowned HP Records. The project proposal is to make heavy music, intense, but no fear of experimentation and without being restricted to labels. Some friends who have heard a little of our stuff that we think brought a doom, with the rhythmic legacy of industrial oppression, some touches of traditional metal and even hints of progressive rock ... Allied to this, we intend to blow the metal with the diversity of ethnic music (Arabic, Moroccan, Indian, etc..), We found very rich, exotic, mystical, and that has much connection with the project name, as well as our theme. Aldo is responsible for the guitars, bass and keyboards and I for the battery, various percussion and vocals, as well as by the compositions and lyrics, which I keep writing. Although we are long time musicians, Aldo and I've never played together. And that is why I find even more amazing all the rapport and chemistry that has been rolling in the studio! Besides being a great musician, Aldo can easily capture the aura of a song and translate all feeling in her notes, making it less arduous our songwriting process. I confess that my perfectionism sometimes may even irritate people ... So now, I thank Aldo for his patience that has taken me ... And after exchanging many ideas about the project, decided to record an independent CD, which could be an album or a mini-album, depending on what will happen in the studio HP Records in the coming weeks or months of recording! And if any label is interested in our music, even better. In the last 11 days we finished recording the track "Eclipsed Spirituality," which in fact it is the first part of a conceptual epic divided into four parts, titled "Rising Amarna," I just wrote in late July. In coming weeks we will mix the same, and begin preparations for recording the next song, and the second part of the epic, called "Rising Heresy". Special thanks to Richard and all of Meinl Cymbals (USA) for prompt service and courtesy. If anyone does not know or have not seen the first "appearance" of the Amarna Sky was in tribute to Celtic Frost's Swiss, called "Homage to Celtic Frost", which is available on the band's website (http://www. celticfrost.com /). The cover recorded by the Amarna Sky takes the name "Pandemonium / Phallic Tantrum" and with the participation of Valdyr Daldon Jr. on guitar and bass, and the drums, and vocals Derbak came under my responsibility. Valdyr than a musician, a journalist and a great friend. I want to go on record here my "mega" thanks to "Dardai" (as is also known), he did not think twice when invited to attend. Remember, the Amarna Sky was the only band / project in Brazil to participate in this tribute, which had the cooperation of fans and musicians from the United States and several European countries. Beside the picture are my other two made especially for the tribute, in which "Dardai" appears with the shirt of AC / DC and I with the Meinl, the first incarnation of the Amarna Sky. More than special thanks to Vinicius Mariano of Valhalla Metal Magazine for giving us great strength in the disclosure of this contribution and the interest shown by the Amarna Sky, according to an article published in issue No. 32 of more than historical journal.
