Formed in São Paulo, São Paulo - 2000.
The Archtype is a melodic metal band formed in early 2000 by the
brothers Fernando Donasi (guitar/vocals) and Henrique Xixo (keyboard). After
some changes, Leandro Cassa (vocals) and Bruno Kitazato (bass/vocals) joined
the band. The first record of Archtype was the EP "The One" (2005),
with the participation of Bruno Saraiva (drums). In 2007 the band recorded
their first cd, titled "The One", this time with Fernando Dainese
(drums). The album "The One" is now available for download, following
the current tendency of virtual releases. The songs brings aggressive, gentle,
intense, exciting ... finally, diverse moments, showing great versatility of
the band. Currently the band is concentrated in the composition of new songs to
start recording the second CD, and have a new drummer: Vitor Rossellini.
