Formed in Palmeira Dos índios, Alagoas
– 2007. The band Ariel / Kaliban was materialized on
30/10/2007 after the first rehearsal with all members of the band. Influenced
by bands like Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica and many more, including escaping
sometimes versatilizando style and all the influences that each band member and
every nuance that has no differently in each one, Ariel / Kaliban seeks to make
an authentic sound. Also look for inspiration in literature, in history and
sometimes in everyday events. Everything becomes a bonanza of influence and
inspiration for the lyrics and music. Ariel, as the band is best known, had
almost the same members of another band that was called Karma, whose style was
punk rock and hardcore - was formed by Thiago Lima, Erivaldo Santos, Ninnenberg
Nicácio Jabah and Alex (drums). Alex ended up being pushed aside and the old
karma was in search of another drummer. By already knowing Banana Jackson
invited him and spent some songs that he listened to metal. The drummer was
then discovered and joined the band that was eventually called the Ariel /
Kaliban. The training then was as follows: Pancho Romariz (vocals), and Thiago
Ninnenberg (Guitars), Erivaldo (Contra Bass) and Jackson (drums). The band
began performing at the Indian Palm with this line, then emerged in Arapiraca
invitations and other nearby towns in the region, which materialized a concert
in União dos Palmares, scruple to call the band Doud, both bands met at an
event Palmeiras in the city. After a while, Pancho had to leave town and
traveled to Brasilia, spending a year and a half away. Ariel began testing each
other to see which member of the band went to the vocals and then took Erivaldo.
The old conflicts unresolved with Alex were somehow resolved and he turned
against the band as bass player. Ariel has performed a few times and managed to
go to a studio (studio Invansildo in the Indian city of Palm - this has always
helped and supported bands in the city with emphasis on humility and every
project that came up) to prepare material for presentation and dissemination
radio and internet. It was then that they knew Pancho return. Arriving at the
Indian Palm and after recording all the instruments and also the voice of the
songs Erivaldo, Pancho returned to the vocals and the band all left ready for
dissemination of material. Erivaldo then passed to the keyboard. And training
in 2009 became: Pancho Romariz (Vocal), Ninnenber and Thiago (Guitars), Alex
Jabah (Bass), Erivaldo Santos (Keyboards), Jackson Banana (drums). In 2010 the
band had a redesigned and now has four members: Pancho Romariz (Vocal),
Ninnenberg (Guitar), Thiago (Bass), Wesley drummerboy (drums). Holdings: Indian
Alexander - Guitar / Flute. Name Origin: The band absorbing influences from all
branches of music that the band itself considers important, including history,
literature. The name is due to the great author Alvarez de Azevedo, who in his
book "Twenty Years of Lira," presented the world with two distinct
faces in the book is divided into three parts and expressed the author's poems
and poetry. Ariel and Caliban. On the face of Ariel Alvarez proves pure, naive,
idealistic, what would be important in the authors of the second generation of
Brazilian romanticism (which is Ultra-Romanticism, which is generated from
Mal-Century). In contrast, the face of Caliban is ironic, sarcastic, flippant. Ariel and Caliban represent the band for the
duality that is in man - the man who lets dwell inside good and evil, and who
uses them as it sees fit. Ariel / Kaliban is nothing more than a band man, a
living organism, dual. His lyrics and melodies sometimes soft, passionate, full
of glory and dreams - one side Ariel - and sometimes aggressive, with the
misery that has become the world by just a pessimistic bias, and expressing
anger - the face Kaliban.
