AMEN CORNER

Genre(s): Black Metal

Formed in Curitiba, Paraná - 1992. The Amen Corner, is a band formed Curitibana in early 1992. Everything happened very fast. In half of the year is launched on Tape D. "Eternal Prophecies" and suck satan's cock at the end of 1992 by Hellion Records release the self-titled compact. The training was then composed of: Paulista (vocals), Tito (guitar), Mane (guitar), Fabrice Domingues (bass) and Paulo Costa (drums). The following year he signed with the Gogumelo Records and released the debut is "Fall ascention Domination". Fabrício Domingues decided to leave out to give the tail and in its place is the bassist Clei (ex Hecatombe) the same part of the recordings suck the prick of the devil on the album that had great impact in Brazil and abroad, coming to stay in first place Sales according to research published by the defunct magazine "Bizz". In 1994 arrives in stores for another great job, it's a 12 "EP titled" The Final Celebration. In 1995 it launched the theme "Seeing Yachol Tehilá" (power and glory in Hebrew). With the end of the contract with Mushroom Records, Mane, and Paulo Costa Clei private reasons out of Amen Corner. Then Titus and Paulista, start looking for new musicians and place to test (at the time there was no rehearsal rooms). New musicians are recruited and enter: Narbeurs (guitar), Solfieri (bass) and Osculum Infamous (drums). And the Amen Corner in 1998, signs with Demise Records and released their MCD "Darken In Kir haraseth" from that, Titus is now called "Babble" by giving both the tail and devil pro Paulista Sucoth Benoth "The album gets excellent reviews from magazines, zines and the general public. In 2000, Sucoth Benoth leaves the Amen Corner because he wanted to build his very own band. But their friendship and mutual respect with guitarist Babble remained over the years. In 2007, signs a contract with the evil Productions and released their album "Lucification" with the following line: Whisper (Guitar); Erthal (guitar); Solfieri (bass); Lokiam Satan War Commander (vocals), Anderson (drums). In the year 2008, decides to leave the horde Solfieri Babble and then takes her out to remake the band. Return to Amen Corner singer Sucoth Benoth, Mortum takes the other guitar. Ciriato on drums (horde Doomsday Ceremony) and bassist Balrak (horde Acheron) lend their anger and hatred. The Amen Corner caused enough controversy early in his career because of an interview for the magazine Rock Brigade, where the singer Paulista (who now goes by the pseudonym Sucoth Benoth) stated without fear that was adherent to Satanism, and that was something Thrash Metal from "boy". Of course he was referring to bands like Pantera and Sepultura, who then fell in love with people who had no or almost nothing to do with Heavy Metal. From there began to be written a new page of the Brazilian Black Metal, and Amen Corner was largely responsible for the style becomes popular here. If previously almost unheard of bands of the genre, things have changed completely shortly thereafter. At the time of that interview (1994), the band released their debut LP, the unsurpassed Fall, Ascension, Domination. I was one of those who became fans of card in the group. He listened to this album from beginning to end and knew the lyrics by heart. Until I see them play in Bauru-SP, at the festival "Passport to Hell". I was only 16 years and never had gone underground in a festival with bands from Death and Black Metal. For me it was heaven! Public the way they always wanted to have contact, ie, true headbangers who had long hair, black clothes and shirts of bands that were not even from Sepultura and Metallica. I met people from the band and I felt important when one of the guitarists invited me to have a beer with them at the bar, I just thought: "wow, nobody will believe it when I tell!" I remember that when offered a glass of wine with guitarist Tito (who now goes by Whisper) he screamed in my face that "it took the blood of Christ"! I found them all fine people, even know Paulista. That was a suitcase handle that without even looking at our face to speak a word or two.
