D.K.R.

Genre(s): Crossover / Thrash Metal

Formed in Santo André - SP, 2008. The idea of the band was mixing the weight of bands like Exodus, Slayer, Kreator and Destruction with the speed and energy of others like Black Flag, Gorilla Biscuits, Bad Brains and Agent Orange. And so, through the crossover style has spread in the country by the band anthology Bilge Rats, that William (vocals), Gabriel (drums), Marco (bass) and Paul (guitar) found the way to put all the serious stuff - and also some nonsense - that passed through their heads out. The musical style still ended up falling like a glove to the proposal of the band: breaking barriers. The idea is that the heavy music, either metal or hardcore punk, came not to segregate, but to unite, and musical prejudice is a big mistake. The band seeks to vary your letters, using as a basis classics as "The Metamorphosis" by Kafka, some historical events, such as the famous case of "War of the Worlds", narrated by Orson Welles or even some simple everyday situations, such as for example, one day where nothing goes right. Thus, attempts to escape the stagnation issue where often these styles of music are. The D.K.R. released a demo in the middle of 2009, entitled "What the fuck is DKR?", inviting everyone to think about the possible meaning of this acronym. Meaning that revealed under any circumstances, and its original meaning known only by the members themselves. The band also participated in a 4-way split internationally released by Akashic Records of Japan, which shares space with three other groups: Gordon Ivy & The Jaybirds (Japan), Second Heart (Japan) and Chapters (Canada).
