BRAVERY BRANDED

Profile por

Genre(s): Heavy Metal

Formed in Torres - RS, 2004. Bravery Branded was formed in January of 2004, in the city of Torres/RS, Brazil, having as main influence the classic heavy metal of bands such as Iron Maiden, but also trying to add a bit of progressive rock, power metal and hard rock in its sound. The band was born in a moment of many uncertainties and changes in the lives of its members. These stormy days would be reflected in the following years to its formation. Initially named just Bravery, the band was formed by guitarist Eduardo Munari and bassist C. O (Carl Orff???). They decided to record, in the autumn of 2004, some songs written by Eduardo, with the intention to release an album, managed to be called Bravery. With Thomas Rosseto (V) and Leandro da Rosa (D) joining the group, they fought hard to make it all work. But personal reasons, financial problems, differences of opinion, chances in the line-up, and all type of turbulence around the group in its beginning led the ship to the heart of the storm. The album Bravery was never released. The name of the band was switched to Bravery Branded in 2005, but the things kept going slowly at the time. The following year was really hard. Thomas and Leandro left the group to concentrate in their personal projects. In 2007, Bravery Branded was almost buried. Some small isolated actions of Eduardo kept the band breathing, but unfortunately, in a state of inertia. Then the guitarist received an invitation to integrate a band called Neverland, to make a presentation in a local festival playing songs of Rata Blanca. The other guitarist of Neverland was Douglas Bittencourt, who would later to be invited by Eduardo to join Bravery Branded. In 2008, Eduardo and Douglas left Neverland to concentrate in Bravery Branded and to think about the future of the group. The band needed an almost complete reformulation and renewal of efforts. Unfortunately, the changes created some personal difficulties between Eduardo and C.O. But it was time to leave the stormy days behind forever and face the future with an opened mind. They started to play together and re-arrange the songs written by Eduardo in 2004. The search for new members to take hold of the flag had begun. In 2009, they called the bassist Fábio Clezar to join. Shortly after, they decided to record the songs they were playing and re-arranging for a new release. In the September of 2009, they entered studio to start the recordings. At that time, Douglas was also playing in a tribute band of Megadeth. The drummer was Luiz Negrini, who started to frequent the recordings. Naturally, Luiz joined the group. Then the band has enjoyed the more durable line-up since its foundation, with Eduardo Munari (guitar), Douglas Bittencourt (guitar), Fábio Clezar (bass) and Luiz Negrini (drums). Each new member brought to the group a new breath and more influences. Soon they started to work with new songs. May of 2010. The pre-production was over. All the guitars, drums and bass tracks were ready. So it was time to get a singer to finish the job!!! And they found in Florianópolis/SC. Ariel Coelho, experienced singer and professor of vocal technique was contracted to record the voices and he made a great work, indeed. The band recorded, produced and mixed 6 tracks of a classic heavy metal with a bit of power metal and progressive music to be released as a self financed EP, Southern Steel. After 6 years of comings and goings, Bravery Branded is enjoying the calm after a storm, at last. Ariel Coelho is now an official member and the line-up is complete! But the fight has just begun. The band manages to return to studio as soon as they release Southern Steel and record a new EP, with 2 old songs written by Eduardo in 2004 and new songs made by the new formation.
