CHAOSPHERE

Genre(s): Thrash Metal

Formed in Recife - PE, 1999. April of 2000... The bass player André Ribeiro had just left a Heavy Metal band from Recife ( Brazil) called WisdomWar, and began to look for musicians that could bring life to a new project. In the Brazilian festival Abril Pro Rock (The biggest festival in the northeast region of Brazil), he met the Guitar player, Antonio Araújo. They felt the need of taking that new project ahead together, dreaming of playing on those stages of that big festival someday, as they saw the gig of Soulfly, band of Max Cavalera. .. .. They began an endless search for musicians for the new band. Now called ChaoSphere (Chaos - Sphere). Back at that time, the metal scenario of Recife (chaosphere’s hometown) had a lot of Death, Black and Melodic metal bands. The band’s unique musical identity (Heavy and Thrash Metal mixed together) made it possible for them to do their first local gigs, shortly acquiring respect among the local audience. .. .. The band turned to be very well known and respected for the quality of their songs and for the energy of their gigs… Around April of 2002, the present vocalist (Flávio Brandão) left the band, and Antonio Araújo started to be also Vocalist of the band. That was when they gathered some money to record their first Demo CD, called The Empire of Lost Souls (Sold-out), with four songs, written by the band. .. ..That demo CD made it possible for the band to become support act for big Brazilian bands like Angra, Dr. Sin, Eterna and many others, and also playing in several local radio and television programs. .. .. After a big period of touring and working on that first demo CD, the band was invited to play in the Abril Pro Rock festival of 2005, as supporting act for Sepultura and Shaaman, in front of more then 6.000 head bangers, and had their set list programmed for 30 minutes, but on the last moment, the festival’s organization asked the band to play for more time, due to the great response of the audience. .. ..After that, the band started to think about recording their first full CD, and they worked on that for about two years, to gather the necessary budget to make an international quality recording. .. ..The band was the first Heavy Metal band to have the cultural support of the Brazilian government, and big Brazilian companies. And after two years of hard work they finally could record the CD with the production of Heros Trench (of the band Korzus) in a local studio, from September to October of 2006. .. The album “Hell is Here” came to life, the first full CD of ChaoSphere, with ten songs. The opening song of the CD is “Welcome to The World”, song that defines very well the band’s style. The cover artwork and booklet design where made by Gustavo Sazes. .. .. The band is now working on the new CD’s distribution and merchandising, and getting ready for “Hell is Here Tour”.
