Formed in Maceió / Rio Largo, ALAGOAS. The idea of ​​forming a band came in late 2001 when Dixon and Abel were starting to play yet. During this period the only instrument that Abel was engaged was the guitar. Already in 2002, Dixon began to "teach" the friends to play guitar, but with a difference, it has said from the beginning that he wanted to play bass. Abel had a small taste of drum and over more time began rehearsing with the help of a colleague who had some instruments and also sang. Ethnicity was formed, the first lineup. James (vocals), Dixon (guitar), Ricardo (bass) and Abel (drums). For a long time this band got rolling covers of Nirvana. Also in 2003, rolled the first presentation of the band once again at an event at the College Agnus Dei, but this time was very different, because the band now had everything set. In 2004 the band played for the first time a live music itself, in the auditorium of the College of Dynamic, "Nobody" was the song chosen. Ricardo played bass in this presentation, but had not yet returned to the band, just "broke a limb." In 2005, the band had to change his name because he had another "Ethnicity," the band now called "Overdrive." The band continued their normal activities and began to conquer their space, even without a bass player, so that at the end of the year went into the studio and recorded a demo CD featuring seven original songs titled "Despair." After recording some shows began to appear and the need to find a permanent drummer for the band, then returned to the Ricardo band permanently. Already in the 2006th band changed the name once again changing its name to "abios", and this name change was also a change, or rather a departure, the band decided to change after drummer can not play at an event in Rio Largo. There began a series of trials with other drummers, but none of them fit to the style, which led the band to a halt even more after the band tried to return to its original lineup and was working up new songs for planning the new demo but unfortunately the Abel began in a super market at dawn, leaving him unable to play.
