AFTER : LIFE

Formed in São Paulo, São Paulo - 1995. The band was formed in 2000 after the brothers Fernando and Marcelo Eiger order to give the band in mid-Reverie 99. This year the After: Life begins their new songs at a rapid pace, continuing to some old songs of Reverie, but with a new guise. With the band has reformed, begin to make a series of concerts in the capital and spreading inside your sound and your face. Taking a break from gigs, the band entered the studio to record their first EP entitled "The Trade of Souls" in September 2001. In January 2002 start new compositions and many rehearsals the band finishes two new songs. The band decides to take a break with the show and decides to write more songs for a possible CD burning. Herein, the band entered the studios Contact us and begin recording new material with production Thiago Bianchi (Shaman, Karma and Vox). The recordings will begin in August 2002 and end in November 2002, causing the band to stop for a few months, and review some points about the group. The band decides to take back and put a new vocalist in January 2003, showing willingness to sing and take the work forward. With this new formation the band for some shows in the interior and in the capital. Some concerts are held until December 2003, and the band decides to take a break to rethink the training project. Fernando and Marcelo solved at the end of 2004, form a new After: Life, calling an acquaintance, Tony Del Nero, to play drums. Soon begin testing for lead singer and keyboardist, and from March to July 2004 test several candidates, when in August 2004 the band André Rima to be the frontman and Marcelo Loureiro to be the keyboardist. Along with Andrew Rima appears Anita Cecilia, incorporating his lyrical vocal style of the band, bringing more melody and softness. In early 2005 the band was invited by Marcel Briani (darkener and Tiger Cult) to participate in the Brazilian Tribute to the German band Primal Fear. The band recorded at Nimbus Studios, the band Final Embrace involving Mario Pastore (Former Acid Storm, former Sacred Sinner and former Delpht) on vocals. In January 2006, the band begins to do pre production of a new EP, with music ever played, but with a heavier clothing. In January 2007 begins the recording of the EP containing 5 tracks, which is completed in November 2007 and April 2008, the material is mixed and finalized. In July 2008, the band signed with Die Hard Records the release of the EP Perpetual Identity. In January 2009, Marcelo Loureiro left the band due to his schedule, giving room for Erick Scaryus enter, bringing more progressive and aggressive influences for the songs of the EP and new songs. In April 2009 Philip Mancuso joins the band instead of Helium Mancini. Felipe comes to add weight to the guitar and melody Fernando. Thus the band formation is stabilized, making the After: Life more concise and united. The EP - Perpetual Indentity, was produced by Elias and Alexander Aftim Gaioto with the help of Luiz Portinari (Thoten, Embrioma and Temblor) and Carlos Ceroni (Kavla). The art was done by Marcel Briani and photos by Marcelo Oppenheim. The band has shared the stage with bands like: Kavla, Opera, Karma, Andralls, Santarem, Transfixion, Vox, Shaman and Primal Fear. As these last two, as the opening band. Nowadays the band is starting up the new EP - Perpetual Identity, composing and rehearsing new material for future shows. The band keeps the weight of different melodies and songs, with some elements themselves, giving a new face to the sound of After: Life
