ASTAROTH

Genre(s): Heavy Metal

Formed in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul - 1982. The band Astaroth was formed in 1982, being one of the first bands Gaucho to make that kind of sound, a traditional heavy metal with fast riffs, weather loaded, acoustic intros and lyrics sung in Portuguese. The riffs that come out of the speakers emanate are furious and the whole mood of eighties bands enshrined. It is a pity that the Astaroth has stayed behind, a band with such quality. The line-up this disc features the vocal Guto, Marcelo Fornazier Zukauskas and Ivan on guitar, Edward Bear Arbo on bass and Bob on drums. The lyrics spoke of traditional themes of traditional metal eighties (and now also, of course), as noted in "Invasores de Aço" ("The forged steel and fire the weapon, howls of pain announce the defeat, seeing the enemy in the fall war, reflects the revenge and denies forgiveness "), theme and Manowar. "Deuses Vencidos" (which came out in the LP compilation "Rock Garagem" in 1984), "Na Luz Da Conquista" ("I contemplate the future, for over a thousand years, the sword is our law") talking about feelings and themes and even reflections, like the classic "O Alienado" (which was published in the anthology "Porto Alegre Rock", 85).

This was the first LP release from the south of the country, from Porto Alegre. Already in 1984 they had two good songs on the local compilation "Rock Garagem". Their music was simple, powerful Metal, that went well into the ear. This little gem is hard to find today.
Re-released on CD by Doctor Rock (Brazil) in 2010.
Bonus Tracks:
10. A Semente Negra (Parte I)
11. Almas Perdidas
